On January 1, 1999 Kombinalong
Hell Imsuper was born in Australia, little knowing what an eventful life he
was going to have. The Halliburtons and Narelle Robertson had been discussing,
via e-mails, about either getting frozen semen or a pup from Multi BIS/BISS
Gr Ch Kombinalong Super Octane (Ampol). After doing some checking in the
US, the Halliburtons decided that the importing of semen was not the way to
go. Further discussions laid out the criteria for the pup, primarily that
he be the one Narelle most wanted to keep. She sent pictures as he grew up,
and the deal was made, to include Panda being shown to his Australian Championship
before coming over. Panda advanced rapidly and soon finished. On June 21,
2000, he left for the States, arriving on the 23rd, after flying westward
through India and other points, overnighting in Amsterdam, and arriving finally
in Atlanta, Georgia. After several attempts to show him themselves,
the Halliburtons realized they were not up to campaigning a dog of that caliber,
and Panda went into a stand down mode for several years. In the fall
of 2005, Panda began another campaign, this time with Kelly Rae handling.
Panda finished easily under her expertise in December of that year. He is
now awaiting his Canadian registration papers, to be campaigned there by Kelly,
in the summer of 2006.
